摘要
利用SCI（科学引文索引）统计分析了湖北改革开放30年来（1978～2007）基础科学研究论文的发表与引用情况。结果表明，湖北省发表论文数量增长很快，基础研究发展潜力大，但产出的高水平高影响力成果还不尽如人意。认为进一步提高研究水平，提高论文质量是今后研究工作的重点所在，并就此提出了建议。
Based on SCI database,the publication and citation status of Hubei scientific article during the 30 years of reform and opening in China were analyzed. The number of articles included in SCI has increased quickly and the research potential on basic research is delightful, but the quality of publications needs to be improved. Quality should be the emphasis of future research work. Some suggestions were put forward here.
