The definition and object of sustainable development of city traffic, the confirmation principle of assessment indicator and the method of analytic hierarchy process are set forth, and the assessment system, mode and method to the sustainable development of city traffic system in Shenyang are confirmed, through reasonable selection of assessment indicator.
