摘要
高等职业教育在培养和输送合格的酒店应用型人才方面起着至关重要的作用,但是,高职学生薄弱的英语应用能力却成为国际化人才培养中的重大瓶颈。以武汉职业技术学院相关专业为调研对象,发现学生对面试了解不足,缺乏有针对性的应试技能指导和仿真环境训练是导致面试成功率低下的主要原因。针对此现象,该院校相关专业进行了酒店求职英语课程的建设和教学实施,取得良好效果。
Higher vocational education plays a vital role in culturing and supplying qualified workforce to hotel industry. However, students＇ poor English skills have prevented them from entering the international hotel industry. The author has made a research on the related majors in Wuhan Polytechnic. The result shows that lack of targeted guidance for interview and simulative environment for training is the main explanation why those who know little about job interview just stand little chance to perform successfully in job interviews. Therefore, the college set up a course called English for interview with Hotel, which has reaped great benefits to the students. The author believes the successful practice is worth widely popularizing in more colleges and universities.
