摘要
加藤弘之的《邻草》批判了当时清政府的政治腐败,主张实行立宪政体是其唯一的出路。作者以中国的失败为"殷鉴",促使幕府进行政治改革,接受立宪政体。考察《邻草》的中国认识、立宪思想以及中国同时代立宪思想的产生和发展,进而对儒学在中日两国启蒙思想中的不同功能进行比较,指出《邻草》对中国的立宪思想发展的借鉴意义。
Kato Hiroyuki's Tonarigusa is the earliest work about constitutional polity in Japanese modern intellectual history. While criticizing the political corruption of the Qing government, this book argues that constitutional polity is the only way out. The author takes China as a negative example and aims to motivate the bakufu government to carry out the political reform. Therefore, it is significant to study China's acceptance of Kato Hiroyuki's Tonarigusa, the constitutional thought, and the similar thought in China at the same time as well as to compare the different function of Confucianism in the enlightenment thought both in China and in Japan.
