摘要
武器装备的发展和官兵素质的改造构成了中国军事近代化的两大主题。中国军事近代化始于武器装备的发展,而此后的较长一段时期,武器装备几乎成为惟一主题。甲午之战,军事近代化的成果毁于一旦。痛定思痛,官兵素质的改造被提上军事近代化的重要日程,以西方的近代教育形式建立新式军事学堂,培养新式军事人才。从物到人,反映了中国军事近代化的不断调整和深化。
Developing weapons and cultivating officers＇ qualities have become the two major issues of Chinese military modernization. It begins with the development of weapons, which has been advanced to the first place for a long time. But the achievement of Chinese military modernization has been destroyed in the first Sino-Japanese War. Draw a lesson from a bitter experience. Cultivating officers＇s qualities is topped the agenda-the military modernization so as to extensively spread new school education and cultivate high-quality military talents. It is constantly in need of deepening reform, improvement and alteration.
