不同驱动方式下后栅极场发射显示板的工作特性 被引量:1

摘要 针对后栅极FED提出一种新型驱动方式,场发射电子由阳极电压产生,而在栅极施加负电压抑制场发射电子的产生.采用模拟计算的方法比较了相同结构参数的后栅极FED在传统和新型驱动方式下的工作电压以及阴极场发射和阳极束斑情况.计算结果显示新型驱动方式提高了阳极工作电压,改善了阴极场发射电子分布和阳极束斑,有利于提高发光效率、增加器件寿命.并研究了在2种驱动方式下阴极宽度和介质厚度在公差范围内变化对阴极发射特性和阳极束斑的影响.结果显示在新型驱动方式下,器件的阴极宽度和介质厚度对阴极发射特性和阳极束斑的影响均较小,因此常开型后栅极结构FED对工艺制作的一致性要求较低,从而降低了成本. A novel driving mode based on under-gate field emission display(UGFED) is proposed.The field emission electrons are generated by high anode.The field emission is restrained by applying negative voltage on the gate. The operation voltages,field emission from cathode and spot on the anode of the UGFED with the same structural parameters under different driving modes are studied using simulation.The simulation results indicate that the novel driving mode can improve the distribution of field emission electrons on the cathode and spot on the anode,thus increasing luminous efficiency and component life.The influence of the variation of cathode width and the thickness of dielectric layer within tolerance on the emission property of cathode and spot on the anode is investigated.The results show that these two important structural parameters only have a little influence on the emission property of cathode and spot on the anode in the novel driving mode.So the novel driving mode can simplify the technics and decrease the manufacture cost.
