摘要
委婉语作为一种普遍的语言现象和语言表达,除了自身的运作规则外,它还受社会因素的影响和制约。在社会语言学范围内,在功能语言学家韩礼德(Halliday)的语域(register)的框架下,结合中英文事例,对委婉语作出语用阐释,为人们的顺利、愉悦的交际并达到交际和交流效果提供理论的帮助。
Euphemism,as a universal linguistic phenomenon and language means has being influenced and conditioned by social factors,besides its own inner working principles.This paper brings the interpretations to euphemism by the examples in Chinese and English within the framework of register by Halliday in the field of sociolinguistics,intended for providing people for smooth communication and good effect with theoretical helps.
