摘要
白语属汉藏语系语言,对白语的归属问题,学术界至今尚未达成共识。主要的看法有:藏缅语族说、汉白语族说、汉语方言说、混合语说等多种。民族语言学界对白语在藏缅语中的地位问题进行了长期的讨论,有的学者认为白语属藏缅语族彝语支;有的学者认为白语属藏缅语族,但自成一语支,单立白语支;有的学者把白语列为藏缅语族,但语支未定。
Bai language is categorized into Sino-Tibetan language family, however, there is still no consensus as to which family the language should be categorized among the scholars. Some hold it Tibetan-Buma language group, some think it is in Han-Bai group, others argue it is a dialect of Han language or some conclude it is a lingua franca. In the field of ethnic linguistic study, the issue of the position that the Bai language took in Sino-Tibetan family has long been discussed. Some scholars regard it is in Yi language branch of Tibetan-Buma group,some think it is an independent branch in Tibetan-Buma group while others think it is in Tibetan-Buma Austronesian, as to which subfamily category has not been settled.
