摘要
多丽丝.莱辛的短篇小说《十九号房间》中,主角苏珊是一位为人妻母的家庭主妇,同时也是一位有着强烈的女性意识,并渴求独立与自由的知识女性。但是男权社会下的理智禁锢了她的独立意识,并逼她走入了生存的困境。本文从女性主义角度出发,结合原文分析了苏珊的思维风格与个性特征,并揭示了在男性占主导地位的社会,正是所谓的理智禁锢了现代知识女性寻求自我解放和自由的渴望这一主题。
In the short story To Room Nineteen, Doris Lessing describes a woman who has a strong female consciousness and longs for freedom and independence, but in this male -dominated society, she is confined by her independent sense which makes her strand into existential dilemma. This paper, from a feminist perspective, analyzes Susan＇s thinking style and personality traits based on the original and reveals the theme that in the male - dominated society, it is the so - called reason that confines the modern educated woman from striving for self-emancipation and freedom.
