摘要
语言教学离不开文化。本文以含有数字"一""三""九"的成语为例,阐述这些数字在成语中所具有的非数目概念上的含义,并分析了这些意义的由来。本文指出:这些数字所表达出的超出数学概念的意义,有的来自历史典故,但更多的来自数目本身在中华文化大背景中所富有的内涵。只有明白了这些数目字在汉语中的种种指向,才能真正理解这些仅从语言角度难以理解的成语。
Culture is essential in language teaching. Taking the idioms containing “一”,“三”,“九” , as an example, this paper expounds the non-numeric meaning of the numbers, and the origin of this is also discussed. This paper points out that: these numbers show the meaning beyond the arithmetic concept, but more is from the philosophical thinking grounded in Chinese culture. Only when we understand the non-numeric meaning of the numbers can we understand the Chinese idioms which is otherwise difficult to understand from the linguistic perspective.
