摘要
评判历史人物的态度,必须而且只能依据其言行的有关记录。《胡适对中医究竟持什么态度》一文,却没有遵循这一基本原则。作者遗漏了许多相关的胡适言论与行为的重要记载,对所列举的胡适言行随意取舍或曲解,以服从自己预定的偏见。作者对态度的理解也存在失误。他忽视了态度的复杂性,把情感排除在态度的构成之外,以为态度主体的真实态度就是其正确态度。此外,作者宣扬科学精神和科学态度,文中所体现的治学态度却与科学背道而驰。
The appraisal of historical characters must and can only be grounded on the relevant recordings of their words and behavior. The article What on Earth Is Hu Shi's Attitude to Traditional Chinese Medicine does not follow this basic principle. The author omits a lot of important recordings of Hu Shi's words and behavior,artitrarily treats and distorts the listed words and behavior so as to fit his predetermined prejudice. There is also something wrong with his understanding of attitude,because he ignores complexity of attitude,excludes emotion from the structure of attitude,and takes it for granted that one's true attitude is the equivalent of the right attitude. In addition,the author propagates scientific spirit and scientific attitude,but the spirit of doing scholarly research runs contrary to science.
