摘要
材料力学是研究工程材料力学性能及构件强度、刚度和稳定性计算理论的科学,是工科类本科教学中最为重要的专业基础课之一。该课程的知识及理论既可直接应用于工程实践,又为后继相关课程奠定了必需的理论基础,因而对学生的工程应用能力及科学创新能力培养具有极其重要的作用。以钢结构原理课程为例,论述了材料力学在工科类专业课程体系中的基础性地位。
Material mechanics is a computing science which studies mechanical properties, strength, rigidity and stability of components. It is one of the most important, professional and basic courses of engineering. The knowledge and theory of the course can be directly applied to engineering practice and also it lays a theoretical foundation for other relevant courses. Therefore it is of great importance for the development of students'application ability and scientific innovation. Taking steel structure principle as an example the paper expounds the foundational status of material mechanics in professional engineering course system.
