摘要
以中国杭州西湖景区的汉译英为例,从中英文化差异这个比较宏观的基础上论述旅游景点翻译中存在的困难,以文化差异为根据,对汉英文化的差异进行分析、归纳、总结,并以奈达的功能对等理论为框架,从功能对等理论的两个主要概念——功能对等、读者反应——角度出发提出尝试性的解决办法。从而真正达到翻译的目的,更好地达到文化的传递与交流。
This paper takes the examples of C - E translation of West Lake area. Firstly, gives a macro analysis based on the cultural differences between English and Chinese and discusses the problems existing in the translation of scenic area. Then, the author makes a more comprehensive analysis, and summary of the cultural difference. In light of Nida's functional equivalence theory, focused in the two primary concepts -functional equivalence and reader's response, this paper makes an attempt to provide some possible solutions for the translation of the West Lake introduction.
