摘要
熟知母语文化是学好外语的前提，而英语教学中长期忽视母语文化，而导致学生不会用英语表达他们自身的民族文化。本文就这一现象讨论了在高职英语教学中通过英语教材，课堂教学以及多媒体三方面加强对学生的母语文化渗透。以丰富的母语文化夯实高职英语教学，使英语成为中西融合背景下交流工具。
Well knowing the native culture is essential prerequisite to learning English welt. However, one problem lies in English teaching at present that we attach more importance to English culture than to our own, which leads to the fact that Chinese students fail to express their native culture in English. This paper discusses that English teachers should give importance to native culture in English class by the suitable textbooks, English class teaching and multi - media in their higher vocational English teaching, which lay a firm foundation of native culture. With the native culture foundation, English is a good communication tool.
