摘要
保罗·德曼的文学修辞理论中既有德里达的解构主义思想的影响,也有奥斯汀的言语行为理论的影响。他认为,所有话语(包括说话、写作甚至思考)都是述行,都是以言行事,但另一方面,由于语言的修辞特性,话语又不可能是预期的言语行为。文学话语正是由于它对表述和述行、语法与修辞等双重特性的彰显而成为所有话语的典范。
Paul de Man' s literary rhetorical theory has the influences from both Jacques Derrida' s deconstructionism and J. L. Austin' s speech-act theory. It holds that on one hand, all utterances ( including speaking, writing even thinking) are performatives, i.e. , they all do things with words; on the other hand, for their rhetoricity, all performative utterances are not the speech acts that can attain their expected goals. Literature can be regarded as the model just for its emphasis on utterances' tension between constative and performative, grammar and rhetoricity.
