摘要
隐喻不仅是一种语言现象,而且是一种人类的认知现象,是人们认知世界的重要思维与行为方式。词汇习得是一个极为复杂的心理认知过程,隐喻思维能帮助学习者将词汇学习置于客观世界、人类经验及认知语言结构和意义中,从而提高英语词汇习得效果。
Metaphor is a language as well as a cognitive phenomenon in mankind, and, more significantly is a mode of cognizing the word in thinking and behavior. Vocabulary acquisition is a highly complex mental cognitive process. Metaphor thinking helps learners put vocabulary learning in the objective world, human experience and cognitive language construction and meaning, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of English vocabulary acquisition.
