摘要

OBJECTIVE To study the effect of health education on the control of blood glucose in gravidas with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM). METHODS Health education was implemented among 308 diabetic gravidas receiving prenatal examination and delivering in our medical center from Jan, 2006 to Jan, 2009. Then their mastery of diabetes knowledge, the changes in health behavior and the changes in blood glucose were compared between pre-education and post-education. RESULTS There was differene in the excellence rates for mastering diabetes knowledge before and after health education(P〈0.01 ).After education, patients' health behaviors (diet control, proper movement, monitoring weight, regular monitoring of blood glucose and regular prenatal examination) were improved markedly (P〈0.01) and patients' blood sugar level was significantly lower than before education (P〈0.05). CONCLUSION Health education can change gravidas' awareness, attitudes and behavior, improve their self-caring ability, effectively control blood glucose level, lower the incidence of complications achieve good prengnacy outcom.
