EU has been pushing up its meat export to China, while restricting the import of poultry products from China. It＇s quite open for China to import EU meat products. In 2008, China imported 150 000 tons of pork products from EU and about 10 000 tons of chicken from France. In the forthcoming consultation, the agro-trade and exchange between China and EU could develop in a stable and healthy way and the producers and consumers of both sides could benefit from it, as long as the EU side would realistically solve the concerns from the Chinese side in sincere attitude and build up a harmonious atmosphere for China- EU agro-trade.
