摘要
英国"新左派"史学是20世纪后半期英国学术文化发展历程中的后起之秀。它的衰落既有其所处时代的社会动因,亦有阻碍其自身发展的客观因素,是多重因素相互作用的结果。尽管如此,英国"新左派"史学自诞生之日起,就以自身的特色和成就推动着英国20世纪学术文化的发展进程,给英国学术文化与社会留下了丰厚的遗产。
British New Left History is the promising youth of the 20th century＇ s British academic culture. The reasons for its decline not only lay in the social agents of its times, but also its own object factors which held back its sustainable development. Its decline resulted from different kinds of interactive factors. For all this, upon British New Left History＇s birth, it impetused British academic culture＇s historical development advancement with its own chacacteristics and achievements, leaving rich heritage for Eng- land＇s academic culture and society.
