摘要
斌椿的《乘槎笔记》与两部纪游诗是晚清关于西方最早的亲历记述。斌椿本意欲客观地记述西方,但他将对西方文化的叙述不自觉变成了中国文化的自我欣赏,无形中消解了西方文化的客观性及其意义。斌椿诗文中的"中国化"审美记述和自我英雄主义的展示,构成了斌椿记述西方的话语方式。这种话语方式是斌椿的个人文化身份和民族文化身份共同发生作用的结果。
Bin Chun' s Cheng Cha Bi Ji and his two poems of travelogue marked the earliest experienced narration about the West in the late Qing Dynasty. Bin was intended to describe his western journey objectively, but changed unconsciously into self-appreciation for Chinese culture, so the objectivity of travelogue was vitiated and the meaning of his works damaged. Bin's narration in "Chinese style" and the display of self-heroism composed his discourse mode of describing western world. Such a mode of discourse resulted from both his individual identity and national cultural identity.
