摘要
随着IP和电信网络的融合,必然需要在IP上传输电话信令。现今的IP网络大部分业务通过TCP或UDP来传输,但都无法满足在IP网络中传输电话信令的要求。为实现IP与电信网络的互通,IETF设计并制定了流控制传输协议—SCTP。作为新一代的通用IP传输协议,SCTP具有许多传输层的协议所不具备的功能优势。
With the integration of IP and telecommunication network,it will be inevitable to send telephone signaling on the IP.Nowadays most web services of IP are conducted under the practice of TCP or UDP,failing to send telephone signaling.In order to achieve the interworking of IP and telecommunication networks,the IETF devised and formulated the stream control transmission protocol-SCTP.As the general IP transmission protocol of new generation,SCTP possesses many more functional advantages unavailable at the transport-layer protocol.
