摘要
建立数据仓库的目的是为了对数据仓库中的数据进行灵活多样的查询分析。数据仓库中的数据的组织方式为进行这种查询分析提供了可能,但是仅仅依靠数据仓库本身并不能完成这种复杂的数据查询分析。为了对数据仓库中数据进行多角度、多视图的查询,方便地获得概括性或详细的信息,就必须依靠其他的技术和工具。联机分析处理(OLAP)就是这样的一种技术。
The purpose of the establishment of data warehouse is to analyze the relative data flexibly. The structure of database provides us the possibility for the analysis , but it is not enough to complete the analysis only based on the data warehouse itself. In order to obtain the useful and generalized information , we have to rely on other technological means and tools to search for the information from a different dimensions . Among those technological means, the on - line analytical processing （OLAP） is an important one .
