HSIP: Ideal Choice for Next-Generation Wireless Network

摘要 在未来的无线通信网络中,如4G,不同的无线技术和基础架构将并存。在这些异构的网络环境中,移动管理是一个关键问题。文中提出了一种新的移动管理方案,这种方案基于两个协议:主机标识协议(HIP)和会话初始化协议(SIP)。文中称这种方案为HSIP(HIP-SIP)。与SIP相比,HSOP有更好的性能,其信令开销小,延迟短,切换速度快。 In future wireless communication networks, such as 4G, different wireless technologies and architectures would coexist. In these heterogeneous network environments, mobility management is a critical issue.In this paper, a new mobility management scheme based on Host Identity Protocol (HIP) and SIP is proposed. This hybrid SIP and HIP (HSIP) scheme is for all services. HSIP has better performance in handoff signaling than SIP.Its signaling overhead is smaller and signaling delay is much shorter.
