词汇相互借用是各种语言所共有的现象。分析英语中汉语借词的历史,探讨汉语借词进入英语的方式及其语法、语义方面的变化,有助于我们更好地运用借词进行语言文化交流。
As a common phenomenon, languages borrow words from each other. This essay begins with an analysis of the history of Chinese loanwords, then explores the specific ways of how Chinese words have been borrowed by English language and their grammatical or sematical changes after the borrowing. Mastery of the Chinese loanwords in English will be of great help to linguistic and cultural communication.
