摘要
贵州是一个多民族省份，这里有汉、苗、布依、侗、土家、彝、仡佬、水、回、白、瑶、壮、畲、毛南、满、蒙古、仫佬、羌十八个世居民族，在漫长的历史过程中，他们共同创造了丰富灿烂的贵州高原文化，其中的刺绣更是以其多姿多彩的风貌展现在中国民间美术的百花园地中。
Guizhou is one of the provinces that contain the most minority groups;thus,during its long history Guizhou plateau related culture has developed and prospered.The reason embroidery has become so widespread in folk art lies in the ancient custom of dowry.
