摘要
波里比阿的史家批评观念主要体现在其《历史》中对提迈乌斯史学观的批评,他认为提迈乌斯等史学家缺乏史学批判和实践的能力。《历史》对提氏的批评也从另一方面集中体现了波里比阿的实用主义史学观念,这一观念对西方后来的史学发展产生了深远的影响。
Polybius＇ criticism of historians is mainly exemplified in his Histories which is about the criticism of Timaeus. He finds that Timaeus and other historians lack of historical criticism and practice. His criticism of Timaeus also conveys his pragmatic point of view. It has a far-reaching influence on the subsequent development of western historiography.
