Nietzsche's The Birth of Tragedy discusses the origin, nature and function of art as well as the meaning of life by adopting the symbols of Apollo and Dionysus. The book puts forward such an aesthetic thought as "Aesthetic First", affirms the effects of a true art. Furthermore, by writing the book, Nietzsche wishes to revive the true spirit of Greek art, highlight the value of life, rescue decadent souls, and provide another kind of new dimension for us to grasp the truth on the basis of refuting the principles of "rationality first". Thereby, this reflects a supreme humanistic care.
