One of the popular factors in the success of The Da Vinci Code is the cultural controvacies it brings about, namely Dan Brown' s defiance of the Canon of the Bible and accordingly the religious defenses from the sects of Christianity. In the theological perspective, this paper expounds the typical paradoxes among the novel and the related critical papers. Whilst The Da Vinci Code is a successful story, its descriptions of artwork, documents, and religious rituals are paradoxical with the statements of other scholars thus can not be taken for granted.
