摘要
Presupposition is a very important topic in the studies of linguistics.Generally speaking,presupposition can be divided into two main types:semantic presupposition and pragmatic presupposition.This paper tries to give a general account of them and their respective characteristics and to introduce the projection of presupposition from the aspect of semantics and that of pragmatics.At last the author gets to the conclusion:The relationship between semantic presupposition and pragmatic presupposition is complementary rather than contradictive.
