摘要
《呼啸山庄》这部批判现实主义小说向读者生动地展示了主人公希思克厉夫的爱恨情仇。遭受虐待失去爱人的希思克厉夫对周围的人实施一系列疯狂报复,在报复过程中,希思克厉夫作为一个正常人的人性被严重扭曲,其复仇行为最后也被证明毫无意义。随着希思克厉夫之死和新一代人哈里顿爱情生活的出现,被扭曲的人性亦得以复归。
＂Wuthering Heights＂is a novel of critical realism which presents readers a vivid picture of the protagonist Heathcliff＇s love and hatred. Heathcliff growing up in mistreatment and insult lost his love and thus took a series of fierce revenge on people around him. In the process of revenge, Heathcliff＇s nature as a normal man is badly distorted and his revenge turned out to be nothing but meaningless in the end. With the ending of the novel, after Heathclifff died and one of the new generations Hareton began to live in love and harmony, the distorted human nature restores as well.
