摘要
"格物致知"在朱子和王阳明的思想脉络中占据了一个重要的地位。然而,他们却对这个命题作出了迥然不同的阐释:前者开出的是"即物穷理"的思想进路,而后者则代表了"致良知"的思考立场。这种差异实质上反映了理学和心学在本体预设、认识论以及修养功夫论等方面的差异。
"The extension of knowledge" played an important role both on Chu Hsi and Yangming' s thoughts. However, they had different explaination about the theme. While Chu Hsi thought the extension of knowledge lied in the investigation of things, Yangming thought the extension of knowledge was actually the extension of our conscience. This difference actually reflects the differences in ontology, epistemology and methodology of the two.
