Anti-tumor effects and mechanisms of 3-bromopyruvate

摘要 3-溴丙酮酸(3-bromopyruvate)是一种强烷化剂,通过大量体内及体外实验发现3-溴丙酮酸能通过抑制肿瘤细胞糖酵解来抑制肿瘤细胞ATP的产生,导致大量肿瘤细胞死亡。近年来有关3-溴丙酮酸的抗肿瘤研究已取得突破性的进展,现基于国外近几年的研究,对3-溴丙酮酸的抗肿瘤作用及其作用机制进行了综述,为开发新的有效抗肿瘤药物提供了方向。 3-Bromopyruvate, a strong alkylating agent, can inhibit glycolysis in tumor cells to cause ATP depletion and cell death of massive tumors in vitro and in vivo. In recent years, great progresses in the anti-tumor effects of 3-bromopyruvate have been achieved. In this article, we reviewed the anti-tumor effects and mechanisms of 3-bromopyruvate, which shows a promising direction for the development of anti-tumor drugs.
