文章认为《他们眼望上苍》的主人公珍妮的话语能力逐步提高为线索,分析珍妮在她生命的不同阶段如何从一个沉默的客体成长为拥有自我声音的女性主体的。
Their Eyes were Watching God is the representative work of American black woman writer Zora Neale Hurston. The paper attempts to analyze how Janie quests her voice in different phases of her life, through which Janie obtains her identity with a clear feminist consciousness. Janie is the first significant feminist character created by black women writers and the novel ranks the sutra of American literature.
