摘要
任何首次之事都具挑战性,即使在北大这所"常维新"的学校。由北京大学率先创办"智能科学与技术"本科专业,既是历史使命,也是时代进步的必然,更是智能科技学界同仁多年的夙愿。笔者作为一线具体负责执行人,亲历了我校这个专业的整个创建过程。在北京大学各方的有力支持和中国人工智能学会的关怀帮助下,我们克服了各色困难,使新诞生的专业初具模样,开始步入正轨。以下是六年来相关经历的个人回顾。
Everything is challenging when to accomplish it in the first time, even though in Peking University, a place where innovation is highly advocated. The first undergraduate discipline on intelligence science and technology was established in PKU, which is a historical mission, as well as an inevitable progress of the times, and also a long-cherished wish of colleagues in this field. The author experienced the entire process, from the establishment to the fast development of this new discipline, as a chief executor of most of the detail implementations. With strong supports from Peking University and the Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence, we have overcome a various kinds of difficulties, and finally make this new discipline grow and develop healthily. The paper is a personal review of this six-year career.
