摘要
北京新建会馆包括东馆、西馆和新馆,是明清时期新建籍官绅捐款在北京建造的,用于本县举人赴京会试和官员进京办事的住所。它制定了规章,有兼职的管理人员。它兼有宾兴会的功能,对北上会试的举人提供食宿、路费、卷价等方面的资助,为新建县地方教育的发展和人才辈出作出了贡献。
Xinjian County Guild including east library, west library and new library was built in Beijing by bureaucrats and gentry of Xinjina during Ming and Qing dynasty. It was used as lodging place for Xinjian provincial candidates who went to Beijing to take the metropolitan examination and for Xinjian officials who went to Beijing to handle affairs. It stipulated regulations and had part-time managers. It also had functions as Binxing foundation that provided help in room and board, traveling expenses and test-paper cost for Xinjian provincial candidates who went to Beijing to take the metropolitan examination. The Xinjian County Guild in Beijing made contributions to the development of Xinjian local education and cultivation of talents in Xinjian.
