摘要
中国的西学研究应当纳入中国学术的范畴,其基本的研究方法有三种:以西格西、以西格中和以中格西。以西格西的方法要求人们不断地将西学深化,直接进入西方人的境界,但其目的仍然在于为本国学术输入新鲜血液,否则就会外不如西方人,内不为本国所用。以西格中就是创造性地运用西学,为发展中国学术服务,但不能将西学教条化,并毫无同情之了解地用来解剖中国的学问,否则就会陷入西方中心主义的陷阱。以中格西就是在充分掌握了中西学术的真谛之后,自觉地将本国的智慧运用到西学的研究中去,使中国学术走向西方,使西学因此得到巨大的发展,但这一充满希望的向度还有待于进一步开发。
Western learning in China should be part of Chinese learning, its basic research methods are： Western learning through Western perspective, Chinese learning through Western perspective, Western learning through Chinese perspective. The Western perspective can lead the Chinese directly into the Western learning, but its main aim is just to import foreign learning for China, without which our research will be inferior to the native studies abroad and useless in China. To study China through the Western perspective is to use their learning in a creative way, and to develop Chinese learning, without treating Western ideas as universal doctrines, otherwise the research with no empathy will lead to Euro - centrism. The Chinese perspective means to do Western research through Chinese wisdom, which will give the research obvious Chinese characteristics, and help the Chinese learning go to the Western countries. But the third method is still underdeveloped, though is so promising.
