摘要
都市文化学是在以"国际化大都市"与"世界级城市群"为中心的都市化进程(Metropolitanization Advancement)中,通过人文学科(其核心是中国文学)与社会科学(其核心是城市社会学)的交叉建构、理论研究与实践需要的紧密结合而形成的一门世界性前沿学科。中国城市在改革开放30年中的迅速发展,不仅直接表现在新城镇、大中型城市和城市群等现实成果上,同时也在新的历史实践基础上催生了许多新的理论与学术,都市文化学就是其中之一。
Urban cultural study is an inter- disciplinary study that combines humanities （ its core being Chinese literature） and social sciences （its core being urban sociology） as well as theory and practice in the process of metropolitan advancement and world - class city groups. Cities in China have been rapidly developing over the last 30 years of economic reform and opening up policy. This is not only reflected from the appearance of a number of new towns, medium- size cities and city groups, but also gives rise to quite a number of new theories and scholarships based on new historical experiences and practices. Urban cultural study is one result of them.
