美国著名的短篇小说家欧.亨利在他的作品《最后的一片叶子》中塑造了一个落魄老画家的舍己救人,自我牺牲的光辉形象。他所讴歌的仁爱和人性美与中国传统的儒家核心思想——"仁爱"不谋而合,有异曲同工之妙。中国的儒家思想的精髓"仁者爱人"同样在几千年的历史长河中闪烁着人性的光辉。本文将用儒家经典来解析欧.亨利的短篇小说《最后的一片叶子》中的仁爱并从中得出人生的感悟。
The famous American short novelist O？ henry creates an illustrious image of a poor and old painter who sacrifices himself to save a young girl painter＇ s life in the novel The Last Leaf. The love and the humanity he praises is similar to the core of Confucianism- Benevolence. The essence of Chinese Confucianism ＂loving people＂ sparkles the brilliance in the thousands years＇ history. This paper analyzes the benevolence in O？ henry＇ s short novel The Last Leaf with the Confucian classic and provides some awareness about life.
