A 3×3 factorial experiment was designed to investigate the effect of diets with different CF and CP levels on the growth performance and availability of nutrients in meat geese aged from 1 to 63 days. One hundred eighty-nine meat geese of 1 day-old were randomly divided into 9 groups, each containing 3 replicates and 7 geese per replicate. The experiment was divided into two period ( 1 ~ 35 day and 36 ~ 63 day periods). In each period, geese were fed with 9 diets respectively with different CF and CP levels. During the 1 ~ 35 day period of experiment, the daily gain of low dietary CF levels groups were great significantly higher than that of others (P〈0.01) and had the lowest F/ G. Dietary CP levels had no significant effect on daily gain and F/G (P〉0. 05 ). Dietary CF and CP great significantly influenced the availability of energy and protein of young geese (P〈0. 01 ). During the 36 -63 day period, the daily gain and the F/G of high dietary CF levels groups were great significantly better than that of low dietary CF levels groups (P〈0. 01 ) ; the daily gain of 14% and 16% CP levels groups were significantly higher than that of 18% CP level groups (P〈0. 05), and 14% CP level groups had the best F/G; dietary CF and CP great significantly influenced the availability of energy and protein of young geese ( P〈0. 01 ). Therefore, the levels of 3.5% CF and 17% - 19% CP and the 10% CF and 14% CP in diets were proper for meat geese aged from 0 to 35 days and 36 to 63 days, respectively.
