摘要
贯穿萨义德文学批评活动的两个关键词,即"流亡性"与"现世性",这是萨义德文学批评的重要基因密码,它们生成了萨义德文学批评的主要方法和立场,并由此延展开来,进一步形成萨义德对待作者、文本、读者、善和美等常规问题时的处理方式。萨义德最终将他的文学批评概括为"人文主义与民主批评",但这并未能解决和超越他作为批评家自身的悖论,即批判的公共知识分子与民族身份之间的冲突,因此,需要从正反两方面来客观看待他的文学批评。
"Dislocation" and "worldliness" are the most important genetic codes of Edward Said's literary criticism. With the expounding of "dislocation", Said established his radical critical position as a critical commonality intellectual, which subsequently gives rise to the contrapuntal reading. With the expounding of "worldliness", Said nailed down the mission and consciousness of a critic. The expounding and pondering over these two key words also served as the basis for the main method and standpoint of Said's literary criticism, and the way that he dealt with general matters, such as author, text, reader, morality and beauty. Said finally generalized his literary criticism as " humanism and democratic criticism", however, as a critic he could not resolve and exceed the embedded antinomy and clash between the identity of critical commonality intellectual and the nationality he was rooted in. Therefore, Said's literary criticism should be judged without fear or favor.
