Innovator' s dilemma, which is proposed by Christensen, indicates that giant corporation' s death can be attributed to outstanding management. However, Andrew S. Grove has faith in "only the paranoid survive" and led Intel carry out radical innovation persistently. The paper redefines radical innovator' s dilemma from a more general level, and then gives an empirical proof and explanation of the above paradox using market paranoia as a key moderating variable. The empirical results of this paper indicate that organization inertia and capabilities vacancy are two major factors which impede Chinese firm' s radical innovation; and adopting market paranoia and improving marketing capabilities simultaneously will contribute to conquer radical innovator' s dilemma for Chinese firms.
