摘要
为了解老年人的阅读以及公共图书馆利用情况,作者运用问卷调查法对北京市5个城区的205位老年人,湖北省十堰市竹山县下辖6个乡镇300位老年人进行调查,调查结果显示,老年人在阅读目的上以休闲消遣为主,在阅读时间和花费上投入较少,文化程度、收入状况和以前职业都会影响到他们的阅读状况。农村老年人阅读的被动性和限制性较强,影响因素较多,实际投入较少。图书馆在老年人阅读生活中占有一定的地位,但总体而言,他们对公共图书馆的认知度和利用率偏低,图书馆应在布局、馆藏、设施和服务上完善自身,为老年人提供具有针对性的服务。
In order to investigate the reading and public library utility condition of the elderly, the author conducted a questionnaire survey among 205 older adults in 5 districts in Beijing, 300 older adults in 5 villages of Zhushan county, Hubei province. According to the results, the elderly mainly regard reading as a way for leisure, and they pay less time and money for reading. Besides, their reading situation is affected by education, income and job to some extent. The elderly show passive and restrictive characteristics in reading. They are affected by a lot of factors and spare little time and money in reading. While in public library utility, though public library has certain status in life of the elderly, in general, their cognition and utilization degree are on the low side. Therefore, public library should improve themselves in layout, resource, facilities and service, in which library should pay more attention to the elderly.
