苦槠树干高耸,枝叶茂密,四季常绿,宜庭园中孤植、丛植或混交栽植或作风景林、沿海防风林,寿命长,叶常绿,枝叶对二氧化碳等有毒气体抗性很强,广泛应用在厂区绿化。
Castanopsis sclerophylla has some characteristics of towering tree trunks, thick branches and leaves and evergreen in four seasons, it is suitable to plant in many patterns, such as single tree planting, crowd planting, mixture planting or as scenic forest and windbreak forest. Because of long life, evergreen leaves and strong resistance on toxic gas of Castanopsis sclerophylla, thus it is widely used in greening of factories.
