摘要
典故承载着深厚的民族文化,它在对话和行文中所产生的多种修辞学效果,带给人们一种跨越时间和空间的美感。在文化缺省的大背景下,从现代汉语中的典故谈起,通过讨论英汉翻译中对典故的处理方法,阐述了作者的异化翻译主张。
Chinese allusions, which earl be seen as represents of the traditional culture of China,play a very important part in our daily communication and achieve some special rhetorical effects, with the esthetic transcendenee of time and space. From the perspective of culture default, based on the illusions in modem Chinese, this paper disensses some translation principles and strategies in translating Chinese allusions into English,claiming the technique of foreignizing.
