摘要
朱梅崖生平以古文大家自期,论文主张"立诚为本",轩轾文体皆本之于这一主张。他的古文出醇古冲淡之气,不足的是经世精神不足。在乾嘉考证之风盛行、骈文复兴之际,梅崖不仅一枝独秀,而且不懈传授古文,在闽赣一带形成了一股古文风气,其价值、地位不容低估。
Zhu Meiya had always claimed himself as a master of ancient prose, holding the view that 'sincerity is the foundation of good prose', which led to the origin of the High and Low of style. His prose is mellow and simple, but lacks in sophistication. During Emperor Qianlong and Jiaqing’s rule in Qing Dynasty, when archaeology was popular, Meiya was fairly unique in teaching ancient prose unswervingly, forming a hot wave of ancient prose popularity in Fujian and Jiangxi Provinces, which is not to be underestimated in terms of value and status.
