摘要
本文以奥斯汀和北卡罗来纳研究三角地区为例,揭示了一条从技术分厂城市到创新型城市的高技术发展道路。这两个地处落后地区的城市在20世纪50年代先后走上了吸引大型高技术企业分支机构的道路,90年代之后,它们实现了从技术分厂城市向创新型城市的跨越。这两个城市的智力资源优势、创业网络系统的建立、城市规模的扩大和风险资本的注入是实现这一转变的重要原因。
This article explores the economic transformation of Austin,Texas and Research Triangle Region of North Carolina and reveals a new growth model of high tech cities which is different from Silicon Valley.Both Austin and Research Triangle region,located in the underdeveloped south,began to attract the technical branch plants in the 1950s and have grown to innovation centers since the 1990s.The elements which have promoted the transformation are also discussed.
