乾隆当位六十载,国富民殷,政绩显赫,虽在八五高龄“明颁诏旨”,传位皇子,但於治国兴邦的政权却不忍易手,仍以“太上皇”身份“训政”,直至寿终正寝。
Emperor Qianlong was in power for sixty years and achived great successes in his official career. In his reign. the country was prospe- rous and the people lived in happi -ness.After he abdicated at eight- four years old in favour of his son, he, as an emperor's father, lived a retired life. But he could not bear to give up the state power and still participated in government and political affairs till he died.
