摘要
中小学图书馆的工作职能是：在学校教育中的教育职能；为学生学习提供书刊资料的服务职能；为教师教学研究提供参考资料的服务职能。其服务对象主要是青少年。中小学图书馆藏书规模不大。工作人员不多，条件较差，面临不少困难。因此，中小学图书馆在管理思想上，要确立：１．主动介入学校教育活动：２．加强文献资料服务；３．因馆制宜，工作讲求实效；４向文献工作现代化的要求靠拢。
Abstract The function of the library in primary and middle schools is to educate-a part of schooleducation; to serve, providing students with books. magazines and learning materials; and providingteachers with reference materials for their studies and researtih. The object of its service is mainlyyoung boys and girls. The library in primary and middle schools is confronted with many difficulties.because of its small collection of hooks, small staff and bad conditions. Therefefore. the library musthave such managing ideas as follows: 1. participate in educational activities on its own initiative; 2. improve its service of providing documents and materials; 3. strive for efficiency according to its own conditions; 4. try to meet the requifernents for the modernization of documentary work.Keyords: library in primary and micldle schools characteristics management
