摘要 本文介绍了一个基于X-Window的支持网络并行计算的图形化开发工具NCSE(NetworkCOmputingSoftwareEnvironment),它为用户创建、编译、执行以及调试并行程序提供了一个简单而方便的图形接口.在NCSE中,用户只需给出程序关系图,而不必了解任何并行程序设计原语,即可实现井行计算.NCSE还采用了负载平衡策略和进程迁移机制.负载平衡策略使得并行任务可以有选择地在处理机之间合理分配,从而使并行计算性能最佳;进程迁移机制使得正在运行中的进程在CPU争用时被迁移出去,从而保证负载平衡.NCSE支持FORTRAN及C语言程序在U-NIX工作站网络上的并行执行. This paper describes an X--Window based graphical tool supporting network parallelcomputing named NCSE (Network Computing Software Environment ). It provides a simple andconvenient graphical interface for users in creating, compiling, executing and debugging parallelprograms that run under the DPVM system which is described in reference. In NCSE, to execute aprogram on a network of computers, the user need only draw a parallel programming paradigm thatexplicitly specifies a parallel computation, the sequential program is then automatically translatedinto an executable parallel program. There are no traditional parallel programming primitives tolearn. In NCSE, we also use a load balancing algorithm and a process transportation mechanism tohave parallel computation obtain higher speedup. The load balancing algorithm makes parallelsubtasks be choicely and effectively allocated among processors but be averagely allocated withoutconsidering each processor's load situation. The process transportation mechanism makes runningprocesses be transported to other idle workstations while a processor is being halted, or while aprocessor's owner is going to use it, or while there are more than one processors are competing foroccupying the CPU. NCSE supports FORTRAN and C programs to be executed in parallel on anUNIX workstation network.
