摘要
对OCLC这一世界上最大的图书馆网络的联机编目系统作了较为详尽的介绍，分析了OCLC联机编目的特色，认为随着因特网的日益普及，我国编目界也必将走联机编目这条路，为此我们应在思想上有一个充分的认识和准备，并且做好我国自己相应的数据库的建设工作．只有这样，我国的联机编目才能真正与国际接轨．
The paper first introduces in detail the on - line cataloguing in the OCLC (i. e. thelargest library network in the world) and then analyses its characteristics, finally the paperconcludes that the cataloguing circles in China will take on -line cataloguing with thepopularization of the Internet, so it is essential to have adequate preparation not only in peo-ple's ndnds, but also in their action and to build good quality database. Only in this way,can the on-line Cataloguing reach the intrmational level.
